It is with mixed emotions that I share with you my approaching retirement and transition plans. It has been a blessing and a joy these past 30 years to offer orthodontic treatment and I thank each and every one of you for allowing me to do so.
I am pleased and excited to introduce Dr. John-David “J-D” Beuhler, who will be taking over my practice in early May. Finding someone who shares my values and commitment to exceptional patient care has been my highest priority and Dr. Beuhler’s personalized care mirrors my approach that you have come to trust. In addition, he has extensive experience which includes 14 years of providing orthodontic services. Dr. Beuhler will continue to provide care utilizing our mobile office as well as seeing patients in our office.
Dr. Beuhler was born and raised on Long Island, New York to parents from Wisconsin. He sometimes jokes that genetically he is a Wisconsinite despite not growing up here. He studied Chemistry and Piano at the State University of New York (SUNY) in Geneseo, New York and then earned his dental degree at SUNY - Buffalo. After finishing a one-year general practice residency, he completed his orthodontic education at the University of Nevada - Las Vegas in 2011. He and his wife have embraced Wisconsin and immediately felt at home here. They have since grown into a family and now have two boys that have greatly blessed their lives.
Dr. Beuhler‘s approach to treatment is relatively simple in that he treats everyone with the utmost of care and respect, bringing a spirit of fun into the day. He takes a conservative approach to orthodontics and will not push or recommend unnecessary treatment. He will always give you an honest opinion regarding the timing of treatment and the benefits or the potential drawbacks. I am sure that you will find his demeanor agreeable and his practice philosophy in line with what I have built over these last 30 years.
You will continue to see the familiar faces of our wonderful team members who have provided care to you over the years. Your comfort and well-being have always been and will continue to be our highest priority. I will be around for a short period to assist with the transition.

We believe in a conservative approach to the management of our patients children as well as adults and will not over-diagnose, over X-ray or over-treat your orthodontic needs.
We maintain an open door policy in our office. As a dual-trained pediatric dentist and orthodontist, Dr. Mentz brings a unique perspective in the treatment of his younger patients. Parents are welcome to accompany their children to appointments, and if you ever have a question, concern or problem we encourage you to discuss it with us.

Dr. Mentz and his staff have completed great work on my daughters teeth and my daughter is very pleased with the results. From the first meeting, Dr. Mentz fully explained every option we had to choose from for treatment and his up-front approach to explaining all costs is very refreshing. The rates for services are the most reasonable in the Valley. We have also brought our younger daughter in and Dr. Mentz advised that we do not embark on any orthodontic work at this time.
